There are four major models using which Enterprises could do Messaging with CSS, these services are

  1. WhatsApp Container API
  2. WhatsApp Multi-channel Failover API
  3. WhatsApp on CSS Conversation Platform
  4. WhatsApp on CSSOn-premise Content Dispatch Middleware

Detailed product notes of the above solutions are available, the current document however intends to provide a quick introduction to the services and the key components of the commercials for availing these services. Please find below pricing model along with the commercials for each of the above-mentioned services.

1.1. WhatsApp Container API
This offering is for customers who want CSS to manage the WhatsApp infrastructure so that the enterprise could in-turn offer the WhatsApp Access to multiple internal applications. In this service, CSS is responsible for managing the WhatsApp infrastructure and keeping a high uptime. Here are the pricing components for the same

1.1.1. WHATSAPP & SMS MESSAGING CHARGES

The below charges are levied by WhatsApp for processing business messages and CSS to process WhatsApp messages on our platform. The pricing provided below is indicative charges after currency conversion and may not be the actual charges applied. The final charges will be charged based on prevailing currency and charges and the price points indicated by WhatsApp from time to time. Please review the terms and conditions mentioned at the end of this document using which the price points are selected.

Optional Component: WhatsApp Multi-Channel Fail over API
This offering would allow business to use our API for processing WhatsApp messages or even use the API for sending fail over SMS/Voice as applicable. The CSS WhatsApp API will offer the same capabilities of WhatsApp Business Messaging APIs however would also enable some differentiation on being multi-channel, high availability.

1.2.1 FAIL-OVER ROUTING CHARGES
This feature will allow the enterprise to configure automatic routing and preference for each request. For example an enterprise can configure

  1. Send WhatsApp only if SMS fails
  2. Send SMS only if WhatsApp fails.
  3. Send SMS and WhatsApp together

These use cases would apply for customers who intend to ensure their messages are delivered in alternate channels and no communication is missed out. Here is the pricing model for the fail-over logic that is being built on the platform.

Recipient Campaign on SMS.

CSS Mobile will set up a CSV file for the opt in of existing /New customer base for opt-in process. Under this campaign C&S would be send the data via API to CSS, the recipient would receive a template sms foroptin. Once the recipient gives a missed call on the aforesaid number, CSS would be providing a response to c&s though API and update the white-listing numbers repository at their end to send WhatsApp notification.

2. Terms for WhatsApp pricing

Here are the terms for the WhatsApp pricing that will be charges to the customers

Payment Terms:

  • The mentioned commercials are exclusive of taxes as applicable.
  • All one-time set-up charges are to be paid in advance before commencement of services.
  • Annual recurring charges will be applicable in advance for the year.
  • Monthly recurring charges to be paid within 30 days from the date of invoice.

Service Terms:

  • C&S on its sole discretion may discontinue the services provided by CSS mobile by providing a notice to CSS 30 days before such termination.
  • WhatsApp charges for usage units will be on actuals as per WhatsApp charging policy outlined below.
  • WhatsApp charges are going to be actuals as provided by WhatsApp based on the prevailing exchange rate.
  • The WhatsApp charges outlined above are for India termination only, other country termination will be provided on specific request.
  • Any increase or decrease in WhatsApp charges will be included from time to time as provided by WhatsApp.
  • The charges of WhatsApp listed above are a conversion on USD to INR, the exchange rate will be reviewed monthly at the time of invoice generation and the same will be used for billing CSS Enterprise customers.
  • “Message Template” has the meaning detailed in WhatsApp Documentation. “Templated Message” means a message sent using a Message Template, in compliance with our terms and policies.
  • All prices are set forth in the List Price Schedule above and will apply to Templated Messages sent on or after the effective date indicated in the List Price Schedule.
  • WhatsApp will determine the price of each delivered Templated Message based upon the country code of the recipient. For example, a +91 country code phone number is charged at the India price.
  • The price charged for each delivered Templated Message will be the price effective at the time you send the Templated Message.
  • WhatsApp will charge you for each Templated Message that is delivered within 30 days after being sent. WhatsApp will not charge you for Templated Messages that WhatsApp deliver more than 30 days after you send them. WhatsApp determine that a message has been delivered when WhatsApp servers process a delivery receipt for the sent message.
  • If your customer initiates messaging with you, WhatsApp will not charge you for any messages (including Templated Messages) that you send to that customer for up to 24 hours following the last message that that customer sends to you ("Customer Care Window"). Any additional message you send to that customer beyond the Customer Care Window must be a Templated Message, for which WhatsApp will charge you as set forth in our pricing rules.
  • WhatsApp have the right to update list prices and pricing rules on a monthly basis, and changes will take effect the first day of the calendar month following such changes.
  • The WhatsApp Business Solution may not be used to send any messages to or from the following countries and regions: Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria.
